About Alexandra Jacqueline

I was raised in rural Minnesota; a place where dirt was the most common accessory. My first real job was picking strawberries, my second was sorting potatoes. A lot has changed since then but a few things remain the same: I never miss the chance to pet a dog, I care more about National Parks than possessions and I always have a camera in my hand.

My passion for nature, dogs, and photography has always been fierce but I never imagined someone could make a career of all three, let alone me! I spent years transferring colleges and changing my major until I finally decided to follow my dreams, as they say, and moved 1400 miles away from home to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design.

During my time at SCAD, I finally gained the confidence I needed to succeed as a photographer. It quickly became clear that my work would be centered on the outdoors and accented by dogs. While my peers were working on fashion sets and editorial spreads, I was out in the woods, lugging my equipment around for the perfect lifestyle shot. After graduating with a BFA in commercial photography, at the height of a global pandemic, life became more about surviving than fulfilling dreams. But it’s 2023 now and there are photos to take and goals to achieve!

I have called Minnesota, Montana, Georgia and Virginia “home” but there is no place more familiar to me than the open road. I truly find the most comfort on an interstate, with my dog riding shotgun, chasing the next creative opportunity. If you also find yourself fascinated by the endless possibilities of the road, let’s be friends! Better yet, let’s explore a National Park together.
